INLAY MATERIALS

The interest in inlaying metals, plastics, and dyeing wood is becoming very popular in the craft world, so we now supply the following items:

SINTERED METALS

Bronze, copper, brass, aluminium, iron and old silver are available. These can be mixed with any clear resin and hardener pack. When hardened, cut back with fine wire wool and polish with metal polish, it looks like the real thing.

MILLIPUT

A two part resin pack, available in three different colours. It sets rock hard but can be worked with normal wood working tools. The beauty of Milliput is that it is rather like plasticine and doesn't run.

PEWTALLOY

Also known as Bendalloy or Cerrabend. Can be used for casting or inlay work. It is a low temperature melt alloy. The melting point is about the temperature of boiling water. Allows for inlay work without burning the timber.
