Variable speed drive kits
Variable speed drive - stop, start, forward and reverse. This is the next step for many wood turners. Available in two alternative kits. Once converted, your lathe will run from single phase supply and with a choice of ¼ HP up to 1HP.
Kit I - Where machine is already 3 phase electrics.
The above unit only supplied for connecting to a suitable 3 phase motor (with 6 leads). A 3 lead motor will need to be modified. (from £20)

The above unit supplied along with a suitable sized 3 phase motor.

Click here - For a picture of the kit of parts for installing in a Graduate, Jubilee lathe or similar. The motor (left) is installed in its original position, the inverter (centre) is installed where the contactor/overload used to be at the bottom of the lathe, and the control panel (right) replaces the original panel on the front of the lathe.
